Duluth Trading Men's High-Neck Infantry Sweater

Inspired by the sweaters that saved our GI’s necks.
Little more than standard-issue high-neck sweaters stood between shivering grunts and the piercing cold of the Chosin Reservoir in November of 1950. To survive the -32°F temperatures in the frigid outposts, ingenious soldiers made makeshift heaters by burning gasoline in empty 105mm shell casings cast off by artillery battalions – and doubled or tripled layers of clothing. We salute the troops who braved the brutal conditions with our High-Neck Infantry Sweater. It’s re-created in a hearty rib that allows you more freedom to maneuver. The two-button, twill-reinforced collar rolls up against icy winds. And we’ve also upgraded to a soft 80% cotton/20% wool blend that’s more appropriate for your leisurely theaters of operations.
